Having a problem?
Phone
- How do I check my voicemail?
- Press the "Messages" button on the bottom left side. Enter your PIN when prompted and press #. Press 1 to listen to new messages, 6 to delete, and 9 to skip. Ask Mark for a brochure with all the functions on it.
- Can you reset my voicemail PIN?
- Yes, call Mark at x17661 to have it reset.
- Can you forward my calls to my cellphone?
- Yes, pick up your phone and press the 'CllFwd' button on the LCD screen. Type in your cell number and then press 'SAVE'. Note: you won't have voicemail capabilities at the office.
- How do I change my greeting message?
- Pick up the receiver and press the "Settings" button on the bottom left side. Press 1, 5 then 3 and record your greeting. Press # to save it or * to re-record your greeting.
Internet
- Webpages aren't loading!
- You need to activate proxy settings in your browser when connected to the network. In IE go to Tools, Options, Internet Options, Connections, LAN Settings and enter http://proxy.uhcdata.com/proxy.asp. In Firefox go to Tools, Options, Advanced, Networking, Settings and enter the same location.
- Can I get to the company servers from home?
- Yes, you need to install the Cisco VPN software and obtain a SecureID token. Please call Mark at x17661 to arrange this. SecureID tokens are $15 to replace so don't loose them!
- My laptop is broken, who will fix it?
- If Mark can fix it, he will. If not, we will have to send it to Dell and give you a loaner. You may use your personal computer but your data may not be accessible. If you use the loaner we can simply swap your hard drive.
- Do you monitor my websites?
- No, there is no monitoring software installed on your machines. We do not track your web usage.
Computers
- Can you install ________ software for me?
- You must first get department approval unless we already have a license. Refer to the software library at W32 on the third floor.
- I want a faster/better/bigger __________.
- Upgrades are only done at the end of our hardware leases. If you need a new monitor please contact your business unit owner for approval.
- I'm afriad of viruses, do we have antivirus software?
- Yes, daily scans are run in the background along with backup and firewall protection.
